  • Creating a service culture of excellence. Reviewing the current service standards, guest room experience, OS&E and delivery, in order to raise the guest experience through all the touch points. This includes review of structure including job descriptions, number of FTEs (if required) and regular training and implementation of guest surveys and mystery guest program.

    Benchmarking against competitors & Forbes/LQA standards. The review will culminate in a comprehensive program of enhancements that will assist to sustain guest satisfaction and ADR increases.

  • Enhancing performance and awareness of bars and restaurants through upgrading outlets or fine tuning of operation. Developing new & engaging concept Improvement of revenues by developing specific action plans including events schedule, chefs/barmen in residence program as well as more focused approach to public relations, social and digital activation.

  • Developing the brand positioning (consumer facing) that best distinguishes the property and resonates with the consumer. Developing the brand assets across the channels. Reviewing and revising website UI/UX and content strategy, booking conversion, communications, social and CRM strategy based on key and secondary markets. Upgrading or developing enticing new photography and video content. Creating synergies with lifestyle brands.

  • Updating sales structure and strategy including trade show schedule in key secondary markets. Introducing properties into key programs such as Amex FHR, Virtuoso and other vital consortia programs. Enhancing ADR and occupancy performance in peak and shoulder months through dynamic pricing, guestroom inventory review, maximizing higher rates consumer and agency room nights and enhanced booking engine performance.

Phillip Haller

Biography

Phillip is an accomplished senior executive with a sustained record of success across the luxury hospitality and real estate sectors. He brings a holistic driven approach to developing and transforming hospitality hotels & brands, seamlessly fusing service and lifestyle elements with strong financial performance.

Phillip has worked extensively across Europe on luxury hotels and resorts, contributing to their long-term success and operational stability. As Chief Operating Officer of The Set, he led service enhancement initiatives & overall strategy for flagship properties Hotel Café Royal (London), Conservatorium (Amsterdam), and Hôtel Lutetia (Paris).

Previously, Phillip served for eight years as Vice President of Brand at Rocco Forte Hotels, considered amongst the top ten hospitality brands in the world comprising 16 hotels and resorts. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in repositioning the brand, opening seven hotels and ten restaurants and bars, and collaborating on signature projects. He was instrumental in the development of Irene Forte Spas (and served as Non-Executive Director of Irene Forte Skincare), created the exclusive Rocco Forte House concept in Rome and Milan and launched Rocco Forte Private Villas in Sicily.

As a partner in YOO Hotels, the design-led hospitality brand founded with Philippe Starck, Phillip created the YOO2 lifestyle hotel concept, with the opening of Rio de Janeiro. He, also asset managed the Lakes by YOO in the Cotswold and Amadeus Hotels in Salzburg.

Earlier in his career, Phillip helped develop the highly successful Portrait Hotels concept while serving as Chief Marketing Officer of Lungarno Collection, owned by Salvatore Ferragamo, with properties in Rome, Florence, and Milan.

Phillip has worked ,consulted on and asset-managed numerous hotels and real estate developments and collaborated with Alan Ducasse, Belmond Hotels, Forte Meridien, Starwood, and Mandarin Oriental in such  destinations as Portugal, Spain, Italy, France, Belgium, Austria, Germany, Holland, Greece, Turkey, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Seychelles and China.

Today, Phillip is the founder and principal of PH Hospitality, a consulting firm that delivers holistic strategies across all disciplines including operations, development, food & beverage, service standards, branding, repositioning, and financial performance for luxury hotels and and groups. He also is a quality inspector for Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
